The supply chain professionals that manage the operations of GHLI-L have been extensively trained in various facets of logistics and supply chain management both locally in Nigeria and globally in the United Kingdom, USA, South Africa, and Netherlands.
Our team is made up of experienced Pharmacists and Lab Scientists who will coordinate the distribution of the health commodities, they have been opportune to attend training in logistics and supply chain management both locally and in the Netherlands. They have also been trained to use the Quantimed and Pipeline which are drug quantification and procurement planning tools.
Our regional and central warehouse operation is coordinated by Logistics Support Officers who have all been intensively trained in South Africa on Warehouse Operations Management course covering: Warehouse Design and Capacity, Key Performance Indicators, Receiving Management, Inventory Control, Distribution, Quality Control Management, Drugs recall and destruction, Cold Chain, Physical control, Safety and Security in the Warehouse, Storage Management, Customer Care, Bar-coding, Good Warehouse Practice and Internal Audits. They all have over 4 years of hands on experience with Institute of Human Virology Nigeria (IHVN) and have supported the warehouse operations of IHVN, ensuring the distribution of over 1000 different stock items to 139 sites in 24 states.
Members of our team have also been trained to train and regularly offer technical assistance and coaching to the various health facilities we support. We have actively participated in initiatives that advance the logistics profession in Nigeria and Internationally. We are corporate member of the Institute of Logistics Management of Nigeria; some of our staff are associate & fellows of Institute of Logistics Management.
