In 2015, USAID re-awarded the Commodity Procurement and Supply Chain Assistance IDIQ contract to Chemonics International, who took over operations from JSI. GHLI-L has been sub-contracted by the organization to provide health distribution services under the following projects;
Direct Delivery & Information Capture (DDIC) Project:
In recognition of our experience and proficiency in the DDIC project under JSI, Chemonics International has awarded GHLI-L a six (6) months’ sub-contract to continue providing the service in the four (4) states covered by the project, which are Ebonyi, Sokoto, Zamfara and Bauchi state.
GHLI-L has through the project ensured the continuous uninterrupted supply of about 4,000 cubic meters of public health commodities worth over $2 Million in the last 3 years. This has helped reduce the ‘stock-out’ of Malaria, HIV & TB commodities from above 70% before DDIC was implemented to below 4%. GHLI-L currently has 22 vehicles dedicated solely to the DDIC project.
Cold Chain Last Mile Delivery of HIV health commodities:
This distribution sub-contract involves the last mile distribution and supply chain management of Cold Chain HIV laboratory reagents and consumables from three (3) Zonal cold stores located in Abuja, Lagos & Jos to PEPFAR/GF- supported health facilities in seventeen (17) states across the country.
The states include; Abia, Akwa-Ibom, Adamawa, Anambra, Bauchi, Benue, Cross River, Ebonyi, Enugu, FCT, Jigawa, Kebbi, Kogi, Plateau, Lagos, Taraba, & Sokoto.
Last Mile Distribution of HIV commodities (Pharmaceutical’s, RDT’s/RKT’s, Lab Reagents & other commodities) from LDC/ZDC’s.
The distribution sub-contract entails, GHLI-L providing Last Mile Distribution services for HIV commodities (Pharmaceutical’s, RDT’s/RKT’s, Lab Reagents & other commodities) from Zonal/Local Distribution Centre’s (ZDC’s/LDC’s) to the 37 states across the country.
